Welcome

Keerthana Sunil

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at Texas State University. My work builds on a background in applied mathematics — fuzzy set theory, neural networks, and mathematical modeling — and sits at the intersection of these areas with computer science.

Before starting my PhD, I completed my Master's degree in Applied Mathematics at South Asian University, New Delhi, with a CGPA of 9.79. My Master's thesis, Fuzzy Neural Network for Classification, incorporated dynamic fuzzy set representations into a neural network classifier to preserve uncertainty and improve robustness under extreme noise. Earlier still, as an undergraduate at Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, I completed a research internship on the mathematical modeling of piezoelectric materials.

I am drawn to problems where uncertainty, structure, and computation meet — and I want my doctoral work to contribute original, impactful research to the field.
