Papers

Measuring embeddings distortion using KNN graphs

    Johannes Kepler University in Linz

Numerous methods have been developed to reduce the dimensionality of data for visual exploration. These methods preserve as much information as possible, but they inevitably introduce some distortions. Global indicators have been used to evaluate the overall quality of a map, but they can obscure local distortions. This paper presents an alternative way to quantify and visualize local distortions.

Analysis of Differences Between Time Tracking APIs

    Johannes Kepler University in Linz

This thesis compared CPU time and wall time measurements using different APIs. The results showed that all APIs provided highly precise results with negligible variance. The choice of API has minimal impact on the precision and consistency of the measurements.

Teaching

    CS 1428

    C++ | Syntax | Data Structures | Basics

During Fall 2023 I was teaching lab classes No. : 8, 9, 17 and 18. I'm usually adding some extra material to increase students interest and understanding of topics we are discussing (like basics of AST for parsing regular expression in C++).

Freetime Activities

    Boardgames and Videogames

    DND | PC | VR | Psychological | Casual

I love playing boardgames in freetime with my friends or new people. Boardgames are great tools to bring people together and build up new friendships, or strengthen already existing. Psychological games even can even reveal some new aspects of people playing. In DND I'm starting DM, please invite me to your games to learn. I also like to play video games with my wife and our friends, usually its some co-op games or Dota 2. In summer 2023 I bought Steam Deck to play indie games on go. During Covid I was playing Beat Saber on Quest and reached 1 place in speed in my region.

    Astrophotography

    Telescope | Out-Of-Town | Nightscape

In Ukraine I have a refractor telescope and part of the equipment for professional astrophotography. I have several photos of planetar objects in my portfolio. But I stoped doing astrophotography because some parts for astrophotography are really expensive and for deep sky objects they are must-have.

    Volleyball

    Team games | On-Sand | Outside

During summers in Ukraine every Sunday I was playing volleyball with nearby-Uni students. I'm playing as amateur level and usually on sand. If I'm visiting my brother or he visits me we play with him and my wife volleyball everyday closer to evenings.
