Research Assistant, IMICS Lab, Texas State University
San Marcos, TX, (August '23 - )
- Research on Time Series Augmentation and Machine Learning
Research Assistant, Kevin Leach Lab, Vanderbilt University
Nashville, TN (August '21 - April '22)
- Research on automatic summary generation of C/C++ code snippets in compiled x86-64 binaries.
- Implemented NLP techniques like tf-idf for keyword extraction to better analyze summaries.
- Applied Deep Learning algorithms using Keras involving encoder-decoder seq2seq Machine Translation approaches to build summarization model for binary code.
Research Assistant, Open-Ended Learning Environment Lab, ISIS, Vanderbilt University
Nashville, TN (August '21 - April '22)
- Research on modelling the cognitive and metacognitive behavior of students while learning a topic.
- Betty's Brain is a computer-based learning environment designed to teach middle school students science topics. The students learn by teaching a virtual computer agent-Betty by building causal models and it encourages self-regulated learning.
- Used eye-tracking data to understand and analyze students' learning strategies during their work in the system.
- Applied Machine Learning algorithms in Python - Classification and Clustering for predicting and modelling effective learning behavior by studying eye movement data.
Research Assistant, Jadavpur University
Kolkata, India (March '17' - April '19)
- Project with applications in determining the effectiveness of reading materials which is extremely important in improving remote learning. Studies involved use of low-cost eye tracking and EEG devices resulting in a system that is affordable to most people.
- Analyzed EEG signals and Eye-Tracking data from participants engaged in silent reading of a given text/passage.
- Performed a causality analysis of the pupil dilation to the EEG signals from the brain resulting in a more individualistic analysis of the subject identifying challenging pedagogical cases.
Research Intern, Indian Institute of Technology
IIT Kharagpur, India (May '18 - July '18)
- Developed machine learning algorithms for morphological analysis of words.
- Utilized deep learning techniques (Bi-LSTM) for Part-of-Speech (POS) Tagging and lemmatize words of a sentence.
- Developed newer deep learning models to perform NLP tasks accurately. Worked in the field of Natural Language Processing gaining experience with Python TensorFlow Models.
