I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Director of the Compilers Research Lab (CRL) at Texas State University.

My research interests lie in the areas of automated performance tuning (autotuning), machine learning, GPGPU, energy efficiency and computer science education. My research has received support from the National Science Foundation (including a CAREER award), Department of Energy, Semiconductor Research Consortium (SRC), Nvidia, Intel and IBM (including a Faculty Award).

I joined Texas State in 2007 after finishing my Ph.D. at Rice University. My dissertation was supervised by Ken Kennedy and John Mellor-Crummey
